About astrology:

There are records that indicate astrology is almost as old as time its self, dating as far back as Babylon being intertwined with their polytheistic religion.

Reading the stars became a part of life and history in about the sixth century and the oldest known horoscope has been dated to April in 410 BC, while there is little left of the tablet on which it was written.

The Egyptians and the Greeks also have a long history with astrology, where Ptolemy authored astrological and astronomical texts. Although, their use of astrology differed from the astrology readings of today, in some cultures they heavily relied on the stars to guide them not only in everyday life but also through wars.

In the Renaissance period astrological publication began to appear with Galileo and Copernicus being two of the notable people during that time to figures during that time to use astrology.

Astrology came to the pubic eye and gained popularity after the birth of Princess Margaret in 1930, this is when the first publication in a newspaper of a horoscope began. There was a column giving her astrological profile as a way of celebrating her birth and after this an astrology column began to run in the newspaper and when it became a popular column other newspapers used this as a tool to add to their newspapers.

Today there are many publications for astrology, although most are not as reliable as the person who can read an astrology chart and decipher what the meaning of it is and how it relates to the person for whom it is done.
The type of astrology that is used today including the Sun was discussed in a book named Tetrabiblos written by Clauduis Ptolemaeus or Ptolemy in the second century and these writings are astonishingly comparable to the methods used today to read astrology charts.
