Chinese Astrology

The Chinese Astrology is different from the astrology that many follow and has a long history not only with daily forecasts but also with the way it can match love between the signs.

The signs themselves differ from other astrology in many ways, first and foremost the names are different and also the way it is derived at, the Chinese astrology signs have different names as well as their meanings.
Rather than astrology that runs from month to month the Chinese astrology runs on a twelve year cycle and theirs is also different as they have five elements; wood which is ruled by Jupiter, fire is ruled by Mars, earth ruled by Saturn, metal Venus and water is ruled by Mercury.

The way their horoscope is set up on this twelve year cycle is for a birth date is that Chinese astronomers divided the celestial circle into 12 sections and in doing this it was made to run on a sixty year cycle. Just as other astrology these different signs are under the names of animals such as Leo is the Lion, Aries the Ram, Capricorn the goat and Taurus the bull.

The lore of Chinese astrology is that the twelve animals were chosen by Buddha, because when near his death he invited all the animals to visit him and only these twelve showed up so he then honored them by naming them to represent the zodiac.

One of the largest things the Chinese have used their zodiac for in their daily lives is to know who their perfect love interest will be, this while in astrology has long been something that many people have questioned in the Chinese zodiac it is also the same where one sign matches best with only certain other ones for life long happiness. This in Chinese astrology not only has to do with the planets but also the elements as certain elements do not have as strong a bond as others, such as wood and fire which would light quickly but also burn out just as quickly. Therefore they would not make as perfect of a match as earth and water where the water would nourish the earth. Love matching in Chinese astrology is just as important as in the other astrology the difference in this is that the twelve year signs give a different approach to the entirety of their astrology compared with the twelve month system.
